New Bethel is the meeting place for the Kappa Academy on the third Saturday of each month from September through June from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.  This enables the members of the Abington/Ambler Alumni of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity to address the epidemic of low math and science scores of young minority boys in a safe non threatening environment.  They also help the boys with their awareness of social, political and economic issues in the community.
