New Bethel has a NAACP Life Membership.  We actively support and participate in the meetings and activities of the Willow Grove Branch. (Unity Day, Freedom Fund Banquet, Consortium Meetings and meetings concerning the education of our children) Our members serve as officers and on the Executive Board. One of the initiatives of the NAACP is to recognize and support the historic significance of the church as  moral center and cultural protector of the community.
